trafficrevenue load times

I've been using trafficrevenue. So far it hasn't been so great. Why hasn't it been so great? Well, the ads take about a minute to load, if they even do load.

So I searched the forums for information on trafficrevenue, and in another thread someone said something along the lines of "I shorten the links because the ads take too long to load... it pays the same". But they didn't specify beyond that, and the thread is over a year old.

So I figured it made sense to open a new thread dedicated to finding out what this guy meant by "shorten links".
