Traffic

Considering buying 10,000 UV's from the site that shows up when you click on "Buy Targeted Traffic" here on BHW. Im currently setting up and running a funny image site, obviously ill buy traffic related to my niche but in what will it help my site out? Understand ill get 10,000 visitors which will look great on stats but after the visitors have been and gone im back down to a small amount of visitors until my site (hopefully) picks up. Maybe im missing the point as it will be my first time buying traffic.

Can someone please explain.
