Traffic to CPA affiliate link

Hi guys,

This is probably a n00bish question, but I was looking around for an answer for a while, and can't find it
If I'm missing something obvious, just start throwing bricks at me. It'll make me feel like an idiot and start looking for answers on my own harder

When promoting some CPA offer, are you sending traffic directly to your affiliate URL, or you are using landing page. I'm not planning to use any content locker.
IF you are sending traffic to your landing page, does it only contain URL to your CPA affiliate offer, or you are playing with iframes and including landing page of an offer (if it's something that requires e-mail submit) in your page?

I do it 50/50 ( well okay, I'm more of a direct link guy, so maybe 70/30, 70% direct links, 30% LPs ). It really boils down to what you're promoting, for example if you're promoting a weightloss sale offer you'll probably want to test out different landing pages. Using LPs is usually better, but I don't like wasting time ( and money ) on testing a ton of LPs, simply because I don't have both, so I just direct link most of the time and if the campaign turns out profitable I may put together an LP or two. Iframing is a good idea sometimes as well, but you'd be better off faking the referrer when doing it. Read Mr. Finchs' guides, they should be somehwere around the downloads section, they should give you some sort of an insight on what to do.

it kind of depends on what you are promoting and the type of traffic you are getting. i am using a simple landing page right now on a blogger blog, its for an email submit and i just put a sentence or 2 and a red arrow pointing down to my CPA banner ad. this drastically increases my EPC because it filters out bad traffic. do some split testing OP

I'm hoping someone can help. Here's what I need.

I'm doing a sponsored blog post for a brand. Thus, I'll need traffic to go to the specific post. Within the blog post is a click tracker link via ad.doubleclick.net. My question is can you send traffic to first the blog post then to the tracker link within the blog post?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have found more luck with directlinking
