Traffic to articles?

What would be the best way to generate traffic to my articles? Yes, I am a newbie affiliate marketer and I have read through the forum. I'm just having a hard time here. I have a part-time day job and my boss gives me less than 20 hours a week so I need to make some extra income for sure.
