Hey, how do you generate traffic to your blog?

Do you rely exclusively on organic traffic via search engines, or do you have other methods?

Social Media

Some of my ideas:

• You can get backlink from organic traffic blogs.
• Share your brand on all social media sites.
• Place some banner ads on top forums.
• Create some interesting videos and share it on your channel and promote it.

Social media can generate a lot of traffic, so I would suggest trying that method.

I agree with them. Social media is a great way to generate traffic since people are really into social media right now. Creating videos and infographics are also in demand nowadays.

i used facebook groups just yesterday, posted manually to about 25 groups and this morning i got 38 visits when i checked my analytics and adsense got 7 cents. But this was just an experiment not my main site. Based on results and the fact that i did it only once, who knows what will happen if i had put more time and work by posting several times a day. Some groups had a limit of 6 posts a day but when combined i think it could give a good result.

Social media would work best for beginning I think

try reddit and inoreader

Organic traffic is a big deal, but I feel that referral and social traffic channel are slightly (just slightly) more under control. That's why Facebook ads, guest posting and hanging out on Reddit are my top three recommendations.

THIS is so true. There are many people who are involved in the promotion of their sites by using social media such as utilizing their facebook accounts, instagram and all that jazz. Moreover you can attract more audience by posting content about all sort of people. Try to talk about latest things.

Not sure why you don't want social network traffic, that's probably the best free traffic right now. But you could utilize forum posting, youtube commenting, signature space. Whatever free traffic source you use, youre going to have to put in work.. that's why it's free. If you're looking for 1 click traffic.. you're going to have to pay for it.

Go on Quora.. and type in free website traffic.. you'll find a bunch of sources, but like I said in my last post, they're all going to require you to put in work. Or learn to code, and then you can get free traffic with a click of a button.

Gonna need some free time on your hands, if you have that then search Google to find out which programming language you would like to learn, I would suggest python, c# or vb.net .. and begin watching tutorials on the basics of said language. After you are familiar with the language, start watching or reading tutorials on coding with said language using http web requests as well as interacting with webpages. Learning to program isn't an overnight process, but once learned will be a gift you'll have for the rest of your life. The amount of money you'll be able to make is great.. you can write your own bots, you can sell said bots or use them yourself to make money, you can freelance projects for people. The options are never ending. Alot of people don't have the patience to learn to program. I started with vb, and worked my way up. Hope this helped. You gotta be able to utilize the search function everywhere you go.. people don't like giving out hand outs when someone can find it if they just took the time to search themselves. Also, there are alot of sample projects and open source projects that can help you get on your way.
