Since the August Google core update, a lot of people in the adult niche are seeing traffic go down. It might be due to content, backlinks, or how the site is set up. Try improving the content, getting better links, and fixing things like site speed. Also, check what your competitors are doing differently.

Yes, I'm in the same niche and since a couple of weeks / months the rankings have started dropping like flies, and I'm talking about several sites targeting different countries.
I don't see much difference, just an increase in those “-k” spammy backlinks. Have you found any “pattern”?

I’ve never seen anything like it, I lost 33% organic traffic when the August core update was announced, then when the rollout completed I’m down another 30% and still showing no signs of stability.

It is quite similar in my case. Since the core update in August the site has been slowly losing some traffic, however, on the 13th or 12th (I can't confirm now) I lost about 60% of the traffic in all the countries that this site was targeting.
As an “interesting” fact I noticed that my other websites (recently created) are ranked higher than the one I mentioned above.

I don't know if it's me but google has been going anti adult for a while now, it seems. They don't show nsfw links even when searched for the keyword.

It doesn't seem typical to me, I've been in the niche for quite some time and I've never seen anything like this (on the sites I manage). What makes me "crazy" is the amount of hacked websites that have been ranking for adult keywords for a couple of weeks now.

Usually, the more profound the update, the longer it takes for the digital dust to settle.
If your traffic is still in the cellar come October, then it's time to really do some heavy lifting and challenge the core assumptions of your website or look at your stats and pay close attention to user behavior to try and turn things around.
