Hello guys! I am starting a women health authority site, and I plann to get traffic from seo and social media. For the second one I will use primarily FB ads, twitter ads, pinterest, tumblr and google+. What do u think? Will you add another traffic source or have any recommendations about the mentioned ones?

Both Facebook and Google traffic are huge. There are enough to monetize with women health niche. You focus both first. After getting enough traffic... if you want to diversity traffic sources... you are welcome!
 
Do free traffic as well from the social websites you mentioned. Also do forums, women related forums.
 
Focus on 1 traffic source first.
And then focus on making it profitable before adding another one to the mix.
 
For women... Pinterest is an appropriate channel to help you, please don't forget it. Most of audience on Pinterest are female.
 
Search engine and social media optimization can both bring you a huge traffic. Participate in health related forum discussions and start notable threads in women health forums, groups and other social networking sites.
 
You can get visitors from YouTube. You can make guest posts on popular blogs with link to your site.
 
Thanks to all! The only one I find hard to do is YT, since I would need to make my own videos, and that takes some seriuos time. I am not confortable stealing the videos, since i planned to have this as a long term project. What do u think? Do u know any source of health related videos with "common rights"?

Another thing I am worried about is that I am using Images from Google. I will use a stock image site later on, but for now I dont want to spend my money on that. Do u think there is any risk in that?
 
Blog Commenting and Forum Posting is also a good way to get traffic to your site... - make a folder and start collecting blogs and forums that you want to share your comment on.
Pick blogs and forums which is related to your niche. also collect the details of forum and blog where more people hang out.
Look for blogs and forums that have good interaction with comments and social media. You're looking for an active community who want what you have to offer.
Write a comment worth reading people!! None of this "Good post" or other lame comment. You want readers so intrigued with your comment that they're dying to go over to your site to find out more about you.
then place your back link in some relevant and reputed site..that will bring you the lots of traffic to your site...

Hi, All, I must say that you start with the niche social marketing website; it helps to get more audiences. Participate in health related discussion sites, and do comments on health related posts too. Guest post is the best option to promote and get both traffic and back link. I agree with your decision of Facebook ads, Google +, twitter ads, to get quick traffic, and recently twitter announce that it provides video ads so you can use it to get traffic and do branding of your website.
 
In my opinion Facebook and pinterest will give u tons of traffic if u daily work on these sites

Yes, you can use google free images, there is no risk at all, but don't use copyright images.
 
Do you want to get only traffic or you are looking for PR too. If you are looking for traffic then you are Social media sites are best.
