I feel like there is a correlation between traffic shaping and SEO Marketing. Does anyone know of vehicle that I can use like backlinking to such a marketable place. Thanks for your help.

in any seo strategy you need to plan for a short term traffic source like social media marketing or paid marketing because its very obvious that search engines prefers websites that already well established and has some traffic

Is it all about the connections you make a la backlinks? Can backlinks be treated as a commodity?

I am not sure with this and backlinks from authority websites are well safe right now and that's works well for few improvements on rankings.Get Quality links from authority sites and Build links slowly everyday.Thats shows results.
