Hey,
I'm thinking about writing up a paper on using Website Traffic Exchanges. Sites like http://YouLikeHits.com where you go to someone's website and then someone else will go to yours. I'm trying to see if they are a complete waste of money or not. Does anyone have any experience using them? Any success? Here's what I'm thinking.
I'd love to hear from anyone that has experience in using them or a lot of SEO, off site SEO practice. Thanks!

- The people on the Traffic Exchange won't engage in your website. They probably won't click any links or sign up for a newsletter or anything. They probably won't buy a product.
- My next thought was search engines. I'm guessing Google and Bing are probably aware of traffic exchanges and ignore that traffic as spammy and it doesn't help you rank any better.
- My next thought was to use them on third party sites. Maybe sites like Twitter or some forums will see the extra traffic to your page, messages,, profile, etc. and boost your posts which will cause an increase in valuable traffic to your site, accounts, etc.
I'd love to hear from anyone that has experience in using them or a lot of SEO, off site SEO practice. Thanks!
