Trading EA (Bot) Testing Journey

Welcome to the grind.


I have been in the trading niche for the last 4 years. Gone through a shit loads of courses and quite a few thousands of £. I’ve passed Funded accounts and have recently started being more profitable.


I’ve also come across multiple trading bots and I have found one that has the data and has been tested by people I trust. As I am constantly analysing the EA I thought why not document my journey.


I have deposited £500 into a trading account with a brokers sign up deal which increases the equity balance, my account equity is £750. I’ve set my trade sizes to the lowest possible amount (0.01) lot size so that there is no way that my account gets blown. All I want to test is the profitability of this EA. My friend has been using the bot for around 6 months now and his statistics are quite good. I’m not going to share the myfxbook however the stats over the last 12 months are:


988 Trades | +1,646 Pips | 690 (70%) Won | 298 (30%) Lost
