Trading binary options

So I saw an ad on facebook leading to a webpage with this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fBYgkO2aSE that claims that you can get back 110-450% of your initial invested money on this site http://www.empireoption.com/ just by forecasting the value of some assets...

Can someone with insight explain what this is all about? I sense there is something strange about it just like with every video/product out there teaching you how to make money.

anybody that is promising 110-450% that much ROI. Stay away from it.
 
I used to be paid rev share off one binary broker, until they changed to CPA. I can tell you out of all the accounts each month, which is a lot. Not one of them made any money.

However, if you want to trade binaries, it seems best to use a martingale system and a bit of common sense.
 
Binary options are actually very difficult to make money from. If this youtube video is offering around $400 in 20 minutes, then it is fake and probably just the site owner or an affiliate making false claims and promoting their binary options site. In my opinion, binary options is harder than stock trading.
 
OP - please understand Binary Options are a scam. Don't go near it, honestly.

Youtube search "Binary Options" and the first video should be one detailing how it's a scam. It's essentially gambling and I'm not sure whether the exchanges actually pay out in the first place.

You have no idea what you're talking about. I haven't posted for a long time on BHW because I've basically quit the internet marketing business after I've discovered binary options.

I had some Forex trading experience in demo but never actually opened a live account. But after I've discovered binary options and saw the amazing potential of making money I started learning technical analysis and started demo trading binaries. After a couple of weeks on demo I decided to invest a small amount ($40) just to test the waters.Well, long story short, after a month I had managed to turn that initial $40 into $550. I was absolutely astonished on how fast I managed to increase my money almost 14 fold and I've decided to quit IM and trade binaries full time. Best decision I ever made.

@OP - If you plan on trading binary options learn technical analysis on forex charts first (lots of free resources out there) and then open a demo account and see how it goes. I recommend Marketsworld. They're one of the best brokers out there and one of the few to offer demo accounts (I am in no way affiliated with Marketsworld - it's just the place I also trade). Anyway there are also some good binary options forum that you can check - "binaryoptionsthatsuck" (funny name) and binaryoptionsdaily (highly recommended). Just don't fall for affiliate traps - you can learn all this stuff for free and the beautiful thing is you can start really small and get really really big. Good luck.

After hearing a lot of different opinions about binay options, I decided invest 1200 euros last May on what they call a "managed account" which means basically that one of their brokers manages your account and gets a 15% of your profits and nothing if you don't make any profits.

Within 4 months and with only 6 operations I have made 1800 profits that I have already withdrawn, so I guess everyone has a different point t of view of the story.

Anyways, no matter what you do, do always your due diligence when you invest.

So it's not so dangerous after all. :p It seems you have found your path to riches. For a moment, you sounded like you're the guy in the video.
 
Don't get me wrong. I never said it's not dangerous. Just as easy as you can make money you can also lose them.

This is why it's important to learn and trade demo before going live and the go live with a small investment. As far as getting scammed I said in my post to stay away from affiliate traps. And always read opinions on the broker you decide to go with (preferably on forums where people are free to speak their minds). You should also stay away from binary options trading robots (obviously they never work) and trade signal providers that have a few good days, open a signals service and then lose both theirs and their customers money.

It's just like IM if you want - just as there are scammy CPA companies there are scammy brokers and just like there are Internet Marketing miracle programs and systems that don't work (or are total rip-offs) there are binary options systems that don't work (or are total rip-offs). If there's anything else you want to know just post in the thread and I'll gladly answer all your binary options questions
 
And one last thing, only invest the money that you can afford to lose, bear that in mind always, the golden rule for binary options and stock market.
 
Consider it as gambling. You either get your 110-450% or lose everything, as in casino.
Demo experience wont help you on a real account.
 
I stay away from them also,I tried Binary Options some time ago finding a so-called strategy to make $80 every 5 mins,guess what, the first 2 trades i won, the i loss all my money and in total I loss $500.

All these guys saying that they have a secret strategy are simply trying to make you sign through their affiliates and make big commissions.

If they are making $80 every 5 mins,why bother selling strategies,just think about it!!!

I do a bit of advertising for a company and they have paid me when they said they would each month. And its pretty good too
 
who do u guys use? i'm looking to get started trading here in the US, but it's hard to find a site to trade with

http://condoroptions.com/ says they are legal too, but i am skeptical.

i wanna be careful cause http://www.safe24options.com/ took my money and ran, so I want to get a legit one to start new with. which one should i use??

Hi,
I am a binary options affiliate and also a trader. Don't use BDB that's for sure. We receive reader complaints about them on a near weekly basis. They had to quit serving the US market anyway due to too much heat from our regulators. The very best for US traders currently is TradeRush, hands down imo. Now I am an affiliate of TradeRush but I'm not linking here and I am also a client of them. They have been my personal binary broker for over 2 years now and they have never let me down, and they never will. Of all the brokers I affiliate with, TradeRush and StockPair are the only two which I put my personal guarantee behind. Because I know that they will never harm my reputation or make a liar out of me by doing anything scandalous. Of course, they still might take all your money haha. But if they do it will be because you legitimately lost it speculating.

Just like with anything else..greater risks = greater rewards. You can do very very well with binary options. Or, you can quickly lose all your deposited funds. One thing is for sure...if you treat it like gambling, then that's what you are doing and frankly, you'd probably have better luck in Vegas. If you treat it with the respect and care which any financial markets speculation should receive, then you will probably be okay.
Oh and don't focus on regulation. Focus on established reputations.
