-Do you really know what?s going on?
Most of our buyers bought merchandise from sellers on tradetang.com without any problems, however, according to our statistics updated daily, some 5% buyers encountered problems such as wrong shipment address, sellers run short of stock, sellers didn?t reply, or, the most frequently happened, product description did not match the goods received.
It is important to be aware of the fact that TradeTang.com is a wholesale and retail worldwide marketplace, the products does not belong to the TradeTang.com itself, but to the suppliers. Our job is to arrange the product line, select the trusted sellers for the best quality items with the lowest prices, and keep up with the pace with the western fashion and to create a safe and comfortable trading environment.
Given the fact that some scams are reported as buyers occasionally received products inconsistent with the item description, it is our responsibility to guarantee that the buyer?s profit is protected and the misconducts carried out by the sellers is rightly punished. Although 99% of the scams reported ended up a peaceful solution for both sides and some of the scams were later found out to be misunderstanding caused by cultural and language differences, therefore, patient and intelligible communication is encouraged.
It is equally important for buyers on TradeTang.com to know how to prevent scams. Matching the different products is necessary, compare the seller profile and look into the comments others left to him. TradeTang provides a real-time profile checking function for buyers to look into, the link is on the upper right of the product page, click the ?view supplier profile? to check. Another effective way is asking the supplier directly you intend to buy from, including the color, size function, and so on. If got scammed, all the communication records will be used for TradeTang to judge.
By performing the ways stated above, there is much less chance a scam will arise, and all you need to do is to search for what you want and enjoy the shopping.

TradeTangs customer service department favors the seller, not the buyer. On a nearly $800 purchase order for what was posted as American made guitars, TradeTang felt a refund offer of $300 was generous when I placed a claim in for a full refund based on the counterfeit merchandise that was substituted in place of what I originally ordered - this is despite written confirmation to the contrary. I checked with my attorney and I would still be obligated to return the fake merchandise at my expense, $450, if I were to accept the refund of $300. It becomes very obvious that the difference between the original purchase order amount of nearly $800 and TradeTangs refund offer of $300 went to pay for the sellers "Free Shipping". They go through the motions but in the end, the seller remains unpunished for his bait and switch tactics. This was in spite of his excellent feedback ratings which were no doubt edited since my negative feedback for wanglaoj117 was never posted.
Bottom line is this. Be prepared to receive a substitution for what is shown in TradeTangs advertisement pictures. If however, you expect to see exactly what is shown and do not and you are dissatisfied, any refund offer made will most likely be substantially less than your original purchase order price.
The buyers money is not protected despite what TradeTang tells you. They advertise several payment option methods available and this is what I found out about each. Western Union is only a money transfer agent and a very good one at that, but, they do not offer customer protection as one of their options. PayPal will not protect you outside of e-bay. Major credit card holders balk at backing customers - jeopardises their handsome fees. TradeTangs escrow account only delays the inevitable - paying the seller and does not act in your best interest.
What to do? First, do not spend more than you can afford to lose should you become dissatisfied with the merchandise received. Costs to return merchandise back to China may exceed your refund offer. Second, definitely use a third party payment option such as a credit card set up solely for your purchases and nothing else so that they cannot max out your card beyond what you feel is comfortable spending. Third, never ever give out bank account info directly to the merchant. Fourth, look at other sites like DH Gate and Allibaba to se if the photos of the item you are interested on TradeTang are cloned there - dead giveaway that they may be buying counterfeit merchandise from a central warehouse. Fifth, check out the sellers telephone number and address - call it to verify it is legit and not a pay phone in Tianamen Square. Sixth, You will not be able to resell blatently counterfeit merchandise on e-bay in order to make a profit or recoup your investment loss - just forget it, they will not allow it.
Although TradeTang claims that the merchandise advertised is not theirs but property of the seller, they are complicit in the sellers activities by not removing merchants that employ bait and switch tactics from their site.
Their idea of a peaceful solution ammounts to your inability to seek legal action against such merchants located half way around the world and the merchants know this. With all the negative comments now comming out about TradeTang, this alone should raise a flag and give you a moment of pause to consider how and where you will spend your hard earned cash.
TradeTang claims that the negative ads are only 5%. Look at other sites and you will find it is actually much much higher. Beware!

I bought some clothes to tradetang and the price are higher and they gave me a defective clothes. i ordered my next clothes to chinabuye and it was fast delivered, lower price and very good clothes

I often wonder why sites like tradetang dont go the extra mile to make sure the suppliers are legit......its way too easy for scam suppliers to set up as if they are large suppliers on trading sites just to bait buyers and scam them. If they are ever caught all they do is set up under a different name......

I paid for a musical instrument a week ago,
and all I get is: "payment not received."

However the money disappeared from my bank account.

If you do business with them, you'll be sorry ! ! !

Tradetang itself is not a scam, but majority of products are replicas, or fake electronics. For replicas its great if your into that.

Tip is to use credit card when you can and not bank transfers, for the suppliers that use the CC secure system. If you get no product in return, you can chargeback, and are fairly safe.
