Trademarking a Name

Hi,
I have a website etc, and alot of people keep trying to use my name, so to put it simply, wheres the best and cheapest place i can trademark 2 words that are used together to protect my brand? im getting sick of people duplicating my work.

Hello,

My dad had the same problem with his offline business (transportation services). We went to trademarkdirect dot co dot uk. They covered us for UK and EU trademark with a decent price. Dunno if that is useful for you?

Hi, just curious. Would it be trademark infringement if I have the same domain (for example) with Pepsi or Cola but I run a total different business nature as theirs. Would that still be infringement?

you would still have to prove that your business is 3000% different then pepsi or cola, and it would be hard really hard.

What about worldwide? ive read its cheaper to do it yourself but could take alot longer?

Honestly you should hire an attorney if you want real/maximum legal protection. Otherwise, you can use a service like Legal Zoom to help you along.

I'm glad to see someone on BHW who actually knows what they're talking about.
I've seen maybe 20/30 posts in the last few days where people seem to think that if you have a trademark in your website name you'll be 'instantly sued'...

your welcome, My GF is a attorney I go back and fourth with her on trademarks all the time.
