have you guys been able to get away with using trademark domains?

like if coca-cola.org was available, you're using it to sell something related to coca-cola...

thats a big domain no no!
why risk being sued?
avoid TM domains as simple as that

however if you used it to bash cocacola you may be fine, parody speech is protected speech

how about if you say really big letters "NOT AFFILIATED WITH COCA COLA" i do see a lot of sites that use trademarked domains, but mostly forums, fan sites, enthusiast sites.

i just realized some of my bans were using trademarked names so i think i'll have to pretend to be an enthusiast site :)

and if they tell me to take it down i'll do what yuppy said

I just sold a world known tradename.ws domain a couple weeks ago, the longer i had it the more i thought i was going to lose it. I dont think its worth the risk of developing a site on a name that is a trade name of another company.

My partner got many a letter from ebays lawyers to give up domains.

he is holding onto 1 of them, but he is not using it either.

I have 1 with ebay in it, will use it as a cloaked domain, that way when I loose it, I might have lost the traffic soon anyway.

I have one and I'm an affiliate of the company who owns the trademark. I did get written permission to use trademark prior to doing anything with the site
