Does anyone have any recommendations on tracking what position your results are in google?

I would like to see how sites improve or degrade over time with some of my efforts on promoting my sites. I want to automate this if possible so I am asking for your guys advice.

Market Samurai has a function ("rank tracker") that does exactly what you need.

seo elite for the tracking and then also using google webmaster tools to see what's ranking now. Then add those terms to seo elite as well so they can be tracked over time.
