I recently got the update on Google Chrome's privacy act of blocking third party cookies in the future updates of chrome.

I have a blog where I use Hotjar and Google Analytics for tracking the user's source e.g. Real Time info, Organic SEO or Referrals.

Google Analytics and Hotjar relies on cookies and these are third parties for my blog which means if I don't take any actions my Google Analytics would stop working.

After researching, the solution to solve this problem is setting up first party cookies.

Google Analytics already has the feature to add a sub domain in the data streams. Through which you can add a sub domain and that'll be used solely for Analytics tracking. Hence, it will be marked as first party cookies.

Little more information on First party cookies, for example you have a domain blackhatworld.com, once Chrome blocks all third party cookies then you'll have to create a sub domain e.g. analytics.blackhatworld.com and then implement this on the platform through which you're tracking users.

Let me know your thoughts on this. I think conversion tracking and over analytics for website will change a lot!
