Tracking and Optimizing PPC Across Multiple Devices

I’m running PPC campaigns on Google Ads and Facebook Ads, but I’m struggling to track performance consistently across desktop, mobile, and tablet. Some campaigns perform well on mobile but underperform on desktop, and vice versa.

How do you effectively measure conversions and adjust bids for different devices without overcomplicating the setup? Are there specific tools or strategies that make cross-device optimization easier?
Use platform conversion tracking with device breakdowns, then adjust device bid modifiers based on performance and keep it simple by optimizing only what shows clear data.

Track with pixels, adjust bids per device, watch performance separately.

You can use GA4, or you can use performance trackers like Clickflare

just use google analytics 4 and check the device report, then adjust bid percentages manually based on what converts better.

Use device-level reporting in GAds/fb, set separate bid adjustments per device, and track conversions with GA4 or UTMs to see which device performs best.

use google analytics 4 to see where people actually buy, then just use bid adjustments in your campaigns to lower desktop or mobile spend based on data.

just use ga4 and check the device report, then add bid adjustments in ads manager.

just use device bid modifiers in google ads and check the 'devices' report in fb, keep it simple and cut the budget where it doesn't convert.

use google analytics + pixel proper setup and check device reports, then just adjust bids by device and focus more budget on device that convert better simple.

don't overcomplicate this. just check your device breakdown weekly, if desktop converts better then bid up on desktop and bid down on mobile. simple as that. also most people forget that tablet traffic is basically dead now so you can usually just exclude it completely and save yourself some budget.

Use conversion tracking, device performance reports, and bid adjustments in Google Ads and Facebook Ads Manager to measure performance and optimize bids across desktop, mobile, and tablet

Track both devices separately because users behave differently on mobile and desktop. Mobile users usually browse quickly, while desktop users tend to spend more time and convert differently.

i simply used call tracking tool for each PPC campaign, so those campaign performing well i increase the bid as per data i receive in my call tracking tool.

From my experience, the key is to use proper conversion tracking and then segment performance by device inside the ad platform, so you can shift budget toward what actually converts best.

Just use device breakdown in Google Ads and Facebook Ads and adjust bids based on which device converts best. GA4 is enough for tracking, no need for extra complex tools.

Use Google Ads and Meta device breakdown, then shift budget to devices that convert best. GA4 + platform tracking is enough, no need for complex tools.

I usually set up cross-device tracking with Google Ads + GA4 and then compare it with CRM sales, so I can see real user journey and cut campaigns that only look good on surface clicks.

Tracking across multiple devices gets messy without proper tracking setup. Most people lose data becasue attribution and conversion tracking are not configured correctly from the start.

For Facebook, make sure you have Conversions API (CAPI) enabled alongside the pixel; browser tracking alone completely misses cross-device journeys.
