Let's assume relevant postings, so no blind spam but highly targeted stuff.

The usual blog commenting is nice, but what about trackbacks and pingbacks. I performed some small scaled tests for each method and came to the conclusion that commenting works best (normalized efficiency 1.0), pingback works reasonably (~0.35) and trackback mostly fails (<0.05).

How do those method work for you? Which do you prefer and why?

To be more specific: which methods produces best sticking links for you? Anyone?

i found this thread in the search .. imagine that :D

wanted to give it a bump. i recently tried to manually post on some WP sites and got the white screen. thought maybe askimet thingy got my url or something. fresh ip and tried it with a new url and still got white screened.

there were not a lot of comments but there were a lot of trackbacks.
are trackbacks just as good for backlinks as comments?

I practise lots of blog commenting, but I believe trackback has its own advantage. In fact I used to do lots of trackback before there were any blog commenting tools.

Is it possible to get a image here on BHW about that stuff? I mean, I use my own scripts, and I do not know if ScrapeBox even supports trackback, does it?

Pingback, on the other side, is maybe the first people stepping into GH link-building consider.

And everybody has already heard about pingcrawl, right :) ?
