Tough lesson learned -- don't NOFOLLOW internal pages. Serps suffer.

A lot of my ranking pages on several unrelated keywords took a dive the last few days, and after thinking and asking myself why, I figured the only changes I had done was add nofollow to every affiliate link I had. They all are cloaked, therefore technically pointing to my site. So, I was linking to myauthoritysite.com/cloakedpeepeepills and i changed all of them to nofollow and the next 3 days my SERPS took a dive. Ive changed them all back and begged Googs to recrawl via webmasterstool. Crossing my fingers it'll go back.

Well, I'm assuming that was the problem I had. It's a new site with new domain, so my rankings were already weak anyway due to just starting.

Lesson learned.

Do not do a bunch of nofollowing of internal pages.

Cloaked links will be posted often in kinda spammy ways, so you think it would be better to register a new domain and setup a freehost for example at byethost for link cloaking?

Are you saying no-follow links pointing to your internal pages are bad, or having no-follow links FROM sites internal pages is bad???

so did you get your rankings back after you removed nofollow? really doubt so...

I don't thinks so, i don't see any popular blog with nofollow affiliate links and they are ranking well in search engines. it could be google dancing which cause your keywords to get down and then reverse it back.

Hi guys, SERPS update, only one really came back to where it was. I had two others that dipped and they havent come back. Could be dancing, i dont know. I'm also impatient.

You could be right, or it could be a co-incidence, how about allowing it some time before jumping into conclusions.

This is just how misinformation gets spread. Do you have any solid proof that your changes affected your rankings? I very much doubt they did. I would take a good guess that they would have moved with or without the changes you made.
