Total noob needs advice

I'm a total newb and I need some advice what to do next.

I found an affiliate program. It's an independent company, they are not part of a bigger affiliate network. They provided me with promotion tools, ref links, banners etc. Their commission rates are pretty good too, that's why I chose them and obviously because I think that their products have a lot of potential.

I did some research on BHW on how to start. I found an e-book method that I used. I wrote 2 articles, put the ref links in there, created a pdf, made some torrents and uploaded the ebooks to several torrent-search-engines. I also used filespreaders, don't know if anyone will find the downloads but I gave it a try.
The next day, I checked utorrent and a lot of users had downloaded my ebooks. I checked the control panel: $2.83 for all the users that signed up. None of them bought anything though...yet

I realize that this is probably a better start than most other newbies have. I read in several threads that people made zero $ despite their efforts. So I think I may be on the right track. I don't even want to tell you how many hours I worked writing the e-books (which was fun, actually) creating e-mail addresses, uploading the torrents to so many search engines, social bookmarking...

The thing is, I don't know if the torrent method is the right one.

If you could start from the scratch, which method would you use, as a total noob? I want to start small and grow bigger later on, mainly by reinvesting what I've already earned. What would you recommend?

If you are writing articles, then I would suggest you should submit them at places that would get you the most traffic. Apart from torrents, You should also try submitting your articles to Ezine for that reason.

If I had to start from scratch, I would choose "YouTube + Sexy Videos + CPA Email Submits" but thats just me.

The thing is, you should focus on what you are good at.

I would suggest building at least a site or two, if you're in it for the long haul. New sites are harder to make money with, but if you get them out there now, they'll be aging while you work on things that can produce more money short term.

If I were starting from scratch today, I would spend 2-3 days on niche research and make 15-25 sites around the niches. Nothing major, 4-5 articles each, with a new article every 2-4 weeks, or maybe more often.

While those mature, I would focus on social for quicker short term money.
