[Total noob] Domain + hosting problems

Hey, so I bought a domain about 2 months ago. I also bought hosting at hostgator and then registred my domain to it. I entered the domain name and NS. I installed a MySLQ database and a user, then installed WordPress and everything worked fine.

Then, about 1 month ago I bought another, better, domain and changed my hosting to this domain. I don't really remember what I did by this time, and I got boored of Internet work. So I took a paus.

Now I am back and want to be on track again. However, I am having troubles getting the domain working. I registred domain to hostgator, and when I login I see the domain showing up there. I am not sure what I did about the NS or DNS settings. I might of never touched them, or either I might of mixed them up totally. I don't remember. Anyhows, I now cant find how to change these settings, I have clicked on every button on the HostGator cPanel.

When I go to my website now, I get Oops! Google Chrome could not find

When you want to switch to new domain name, you can start by linking two domains on the same host first. Then ditch the old one after the new one works. Technically, you don't need to change host setting. How to link domain, different host has different domain management panel. But it should let you to map new domain to host in the same account.

You can chat with hostgator.com support. They should be able to help guide you step by step.

Yes, call host gator support, I always call customer support and it saves me so much time. I might spend half an hour on the phone but they'll do all of the work.

At a guess domain is not pointing to the right IP/NS.

Ask their fast support..

Sometimes need some time if you make changes on nameservers.Delete cookies etc.Also check your website from another ip in case your ip is blocked.If you try all these without any luck try to call them about your problem.
