Torrents for downloads allowed?

Hi,

I have about 3 gigs of video tuts that I want to share all about programming and I think they would be very beneficial to many members here. It would be easiest to share them as a torrent. Is this allowed. They wouldn't be uploaded here I would just link to a download site with them on it. Is that ok?

I doubt it's allowed, the staff has already mention the list of uploading sites that you can upload your stuff (if .exe, requires a scan). Torrents are full of viruses (I'm not saying that your torrent is).

It's not an exe though and I can upload the torrent file to one of the designated upload sites.

Can a mod please clarify???? I really want to share this, I really think it will help a lot of people.

Is it a few GB or what, why can't you simply download and reupload on Mediafire.
