Torn between selling and keeping my website.

Hey everyone.

I'm torn between selling my blackhat website or keeping it. It makes $1k/pm, but its quite blackhat and i'm not sure how long the earnings will keep coming in.

Any suggestions?

I'd just keep it. If you don't even know how long the earnings will hold up, then you most likely aren't going to get a high amount for the site. You'd probably make more holding onto it.

Well I've never flipped a complete Blackhat site before, so I can't say anything from personal experience, but in your auction listing you're going to have to reveal exactly how the site makes it's revenue and potential buyers are going to see that it's not sustainable so the bidding may not get as high as you would like it to.

If it were a white hat site, then I wouldn't let it go for less than 12k, probably even more, but since it's BH, I'm not sure.

So while I can't say "well I think you'll get 6x revenue", my personal opinion is that you will end up making more if you just hold onto it (unless you think it's going to stop making money within the next month or 2).

You could always try putting it on Flippa and adding a reserve just to see what happens. I may be completely wrong here and the site may easily reach your reserve, you never know.
