TOR = Good?

Hi everyone,

I was reading up about TOR (torproject.com) and it looked like a good, free proxy changer. Anyone have any experience with it?

Tor is great service, but it's a little slow.
 
It is really slow. You dont want to use it for CL posting (Never tried, but it would be hell).

But i use it for gmails when i need a one off or something like that. Also for youtube etc. I think you need to pick the right time though, sometimes its god awful slow, othertimes it isnt toooo bad.
 
Tor is achingly slow. At least that's my experience. Plus, a lot of proxies on the tor network seem to be pretty well known at this point
 
^ agreed, works for things other than CL if you need it badly, slow as molasses though.
 
Easy to integrate with firefox is proxyswitcher 2.0, PM for a DL link if ya want it.
 
I use tor for tons of things. I haven't found an easier, more reliable (albeit slow as hell) way to use proxies.
 
Is it slower than using dial up to post on Craigslist?
 
I tried using free proxies and the whole process sucks. TOR was so annoying that it made me look for alternatives. I found this place:

6 bucks for 8 proxies for a month. No waiting around for anything. I'm not doing any CL stuff, I just want to be someone else when I do signups for back links. Anyone else know of a better deal? I really could just use (2) proxies a month at this point.
 
Tor is a pretty good program to anonymize yourself but too many of the IPs on the network have been most likely overused by this point for different activities.
 
I have used it before somehow useless !!! Not only slow, haven't your checked your IP whether there is a changed or not? RESULT - IP NO CHANGE ... Finally I uninstall it ... WTF
 
tor is extremly slow..better get some good proxys or a vpn
 
For me if you want to have a free proxy change, I recommend install add-on "FoxyProxy" and get the fresh proxy lists ... done. The bad things is sometime the free proxies won't work and slow ... So, please bear in mind what ever "FREE" don't expect it give you quality value ...
 
Tor is a great program. IMHO but, as everyone has mentioned it is slow as hell and many IP are banned.
