Guys, seeing as the decision has been made to use topify, I think it would be much more productive if everyone backs it.

we have the opportunity of working with their support to further develop the app, which is a great opportunity IMHO.

:( What to say? :(

Everytime, I switch from one latest post back to the 'latest post' section, the loading symbol just lags out and just hangs..

I have to restart the app and close it from my phone memory then reopen it again, its real frustrating.

So, only hi tech devices are going to enjoy BHW on mobile? :( My mobile can handle Taptalk and I'm sure Topify too but Google Play said my mobile is not compatible.

It does run on older Droid devices however it is not as stable due to the OS. We will try our best to expand the range of devices it works up to our standards on.

'different' i guess. All my other forums operate with tapa so i'm so use to logging in, using it and navigating around with speed. Didn't want to download a different app for each forum

Understood, we just launched at forumcom this year and will be expanding our network greatly over the next 30-60 days. This should cover most of the popular forums you all use and major networks of them. We also do have a brief tutorial under: Slide out>Help>Guide which should help you get familiar with our App.

hi, I am using LG P500 (optimus) it is not visible at play store... it said "no results found" when search from google play it said not supported for my device... I will buy new cellphone soon, what phone you think I need to buy just to work well with topify?

Hello Bacchiato,

We have had great results testing usability on the Nexus 4, HTC One, Samsung S3/S4, and all iOS devices. I just picked up a Motorola Razr which is also up to par on our QA side.

Heya ComputerJunkie,

Can you provide me with the device, software version, and steps to recreate this issue?

Just within 15 minutes of installing Topify, I uninstall it. So laggy and slow. Gave up, my phone is SE Experia ION LTE

Hello Alano,

It looks like the factory operating system is Google Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) for that phone. Topify requires 3.0 and up via the Google Play store.

What version are you using, I would be glad to help out.

I'm having almost the same phone and it has received an update to ICS ages ago and recently a JB update came out.
In my end the UI seems a lot like unfinished. The slider isn't really a good idea when swipe to next page is a lot better way to browse... Just copy the features and smoothness of tapatalk 4 and you will be fine. Keep it simple!
If I would start to write down the flaws of your software, it would take hours so I pass on it and I really hope that you can do something for it. Yes it does work but it does that poorly and browsing the forum isn't enjoyable.

How many people are working on this project? Fire them or at least give them some kind of warning. You really can't afford to release software in this condition. Tapatalk was a breakthrough but this isn't going to be a one.

Black theme would also be superb.

Comparison between topify and tapatalk 4:

And why doesn't topify remember the topify ID?

Hello Painy1,

Thank you for voicing your thoughts, this is the feedback we need to continuously improve our user experience for you all. We launched on a small scale this last month at ForumCon 2013 and have been addressing bugs and feedback from users on dozens of forums. We will be rolling out on hundreds of sites in the next 30-60 days and working around the clock to improve the App. We are based out of Chicago and built by forum Owners/Users for forum Owners/Users. We are a tight knit group of friends that have worked together on a few start ups so I do not foresee any staff changes at this point.

I understand your frustration with the Android version of the App. We are doing our best to try and support as many as we can however some older devices do not work well with our App.

In regards to your specific feedback I do have the "Black Theme" option slatted for our updated User Control Panel which is in the works. I have also opened a ticket with the Development Team to address the Topify ID Issue. Can you provide us with more details (phone, software, steps, screen shots) on this issue that I can share with the team?

Please feel free to post or email me any other concerns and I will address them ASAP.

Thanks again for sharing your input.

Hi, I'm sorry for being a bit rude. I didn't know that this is a community driven app. Then I will accept little setbacks.
The ID problem repeats randomly so I can't help much with it.
I disagree what you said about older phones; Any phone with 720p display and 1GB ram with JB should be able to run any programs available.
As I write this reply on topify I have noticed that it can't be rotated vertically and scrolling the message is painful. The text area is too small and space is being wasted on buttons and the post reply bar is useless.

No worries, we honestly appreciate the feedback.

We are actually working on a updated larger reply text box and should have it available in the next week or so. I will add your notes and screen shot to the ticket for the developers. I am sure will will enjoy your humorous outlook, I did. lol

There are some major challenges with screen rotation due to formatting but it is a feature we are trying to re enable but for now we locked the app in portrait.

Let me know what else you would like to see.

Thanks Alano,

I will get a hold of the same setup for our Dev Team to test on and iron out the issues. I look like a drug dealer with 15+ mobile devices laying around my office for testing. lol

It's great to have the new app supported so closely. It makes it a much better prospect.

the_pun, pm sent.

Davids355 - I am unable to send PM's right now so just use the support link on our website. I also do not have permissions to post URL's or email addies here yet. I have an email into the admin to set me up since I am a noob here.

Thanks

I tried it on my Galaxy Nexus using Android 4.2.2. It scrolls a bit slow and there is about a half second lag when clicking on thread links.

Heya Sultan,

I have an N4 Nexus as a testing device with no issues but I will pick up a Galaxy Nexus and try to recreate. The Nexus One I have does have some formatting issues but it is running 2.3.4.

Thanks for the heads up.

Worst app ever always connection error.taptalk was far far better than this!
