I prefer manual, personally. Those using your brains as a tool, try using your hands instead, you'll get a lot more accomplished.

lol. Brain brain brain.. Everybody has that, so does the op i guess. Manual undoubtedly work outstanding, but if you do not have patience that 80% of us don't then ofcourse we gotta use automation. Just play safe and you should know what tool work how. You can rank easily.
P.s- I go with the mixture of automation and manual link building. GSA ftw
