Top differences between us and normal people

In last days I'm feeling like I can't explain a normal person what I am doing and why .

It seems that IM'ers are very different between normal people especially on mentality. We have very different mentality: my school colleagues want to finish their study and hire to a real-job paid with max 300E (this amount depends from country to country but it's the same you call a 9-5 job).

Back to point... I'm thinking sometimes about my colleagues "wtf? that's all you want from life? to work for 300E and be limited all the time lol"

Maybe IM'ers are not satisfied with less?

Let's see what are the differences between us and normal people (our friends lol).

I think that there are some different groups of IMers. But from my sight I can tell that I couldn't work in a 9-5 job anymore, because: If you work for yourself (your own company) you simply create and improve your business and also your money every day. But if you work for somebody else you just sit there and waste your time and improve the business of somebody else. Since I started building my company I really enjoy working, and I don't hate mondays anymore

You notice that you are an IM'er when you go into a pre-written script everytime someone asks you what you do. I have this 30 second routine explaining very articulately what SEO is. And I only do that cause I don't want to go into details about the mixed bag of stuff I do in reality.

Not really gonna knock 9-5'ers though. Some of my pals make 5000 euro a month doing geek stuff, and they get to relax in evenings, have full health insurance and have 5 weeks paid vacation.

Pretty sure there are plenty of IM'ers who have low aims in terms of income too. I bet 1/2 the people on this forum would be happy with $50 a day, which in the US would be considered quite a shitty wage. All depends on the person and the situation. Just because you make money online doesn't mean you're any smarter or more dedicated than someone who makes it off

For me, it's waking up after 5 hours of sleep eager to check my stats and keep building, hiring people, etc... I'm very passionate about IM, and I think that's what makes the whole difference.

That brings me memories from when I worked for that money and I was quite happy...

Now I earn less than that but at least I have the mindset that someday I will earn much more
