The other day while driving down the road.. I was thinking about seo and other stuff that usually floats around in my head, I asked my self. If I owned Google what would I have set in motion 8 years ago to protect Google from Blackhat optimized sites (cloaked, mass generated, ect..) from cluttering the Google user's search results.

    1. I would have created a Blackhat Department within Google for research and development of Black hat techniques. The developed techniques would be used by Google against it's own search engine to understand how to detect and prevent web developers that use blackhat seo to exploit Google for High rankings ect.

    2. Within the Google Blackhat Department there would be a team of 100 people who would portray them selfs as webmasters with expert knowledge of Blackhat knowledge. Over the past 8 years this team would have register (as users) at 1000s of webmaster, seo, blackhat and other forums posing as expert blackhats with 1000s of threads and posts.

Think about this for a second
Lets say out about 100 of the (usernames) registered at the current popular webmaster forums Digitalpoint, Sitepoint, Blackhatworld and others became well known users with 1000s of posts under there belt and when spoken everyone listened and believed.

:) I could go on and on but you get the picture!
Note: This is only what I would have done If I owned Google

If you owned MSN, your "blackhat team" might be exploiting those backdoors to make a little coin off their own engine. They were doing it in the Looksmart days, and they're still doing it today. ;)

Google may already have blackhat experts in team. Who knows some of the google black hats are active members here.

Oh there is no doubt that Google, Myspace, Craigslist, Yahoo, and any other major website has people hanging around places like this.

I doubt. There is some much things going on on the net that are way worse than blackhat (bh is simply make things work easier for you!). I think Google got other things to worry about. Think positive, making money on the net is easy as pie! Dont be scared of Big G!

lol, I will keep you on my buddy list :)

It all depends on what you do. I want to get myself really sharp with Internet Marketing, but at the moment, I have been successful with web design and programming for clients overseas, just trying to split my time for both

Google is so sneaky, I am sure they have someone visiting BHW as well. Once they caught one of my GreyHat site and visited the site quite often, I cloaked the page and next time when the guy came to the page he was welcomed with choicest abuses and with a dire warning. From that day the googletech stopped sneaking into that site.

Ive tried a lot of sites before, and thanks to BHW this is my most succesful one to date, im getting 100 UV a day!!! I dont usually do big projects, must be my midlife crisis as im trying to get this one to be big lol

I also have a second site that I have just paid to have 20k UVs on it so then that will be the most succesful one (although the 1st is all generated by myself and the 2nd is all paid for traffic)

I have no doubts that GG is a blackhat forerunner, they probably started the ball rolling...but how can you be sure you snagged an invader...

A wise one knows that Google has Blackhats on their team for research purposes, another wise one knows that one of our very own gets a paycheck not an affiliate check from google.....A wise one will not share who that is, but know that the GBH is not interested in stopping our efforts

With the IP of Googleplex. Also in last 5 years, have been at receiving end from google. So I have my own circle of friends and have friends working at GPlex itself. So I know how personally (G) takes up the stuff.
