    Here are 30 tips and tricks to maximize your search efficiency.These tips and tricks to help you easily find information on Google.

    Google Search Tips:
    If you want to find a webpage where all the terms you're searching for appear in the text of that page (but not necessarily beside each other), type in allintext: followed immediately by words or phrases.

    To search for an exact phrase, with the same words in the same order

    Enter “define” followed by your desired term

    Place quotation marks (“) around the phrase you’d like to search for Ex: “to be, or not to be”

    Place a dash (-) before the word or site you want to omit Ex: phoenix -arizona

    Enter “ip address” in the search bar

    Place an addition sign (+) in front of the Google+ user or after the blood type Ex: +Chrome and AB+

    Enter “time” followed by the particular region

    Place the at symbol (@) before the social tag you’d like to search Ex: @digitaltrends

    Enter the flight number in the search bar

    Place an asterisk (*) within the search as a placeholder for any unknown terms Ex: if you give a * a *

    Enter “movies” followed by your zipcode or city

    If you want to find pages with your search query mentioned in the URL, type allinurl: immediately followed by your search query.

    Place a hashtag in front of the desired topicEx: #throwbackthursday

    Often, you want to search a specific website for content that matches a certain phrase. Even if the site doesn’t support a built-in search feature, you can use Google to search the site for your term. Simply use the site:somesite.com modifier.

    Place two periods between the designated numbers you want to search between Ex: $75..$200

    Enter “etymology” followed by your desired word

    Do two Google searches at once by adding ‘or’ between the search terms

    Enter “set timer for” followed by the desired amount of time

    Searching the name of a holiday will tell you what date that holiday is on

    Enter “sunrise” or “sunset” followed by a zipcode or city

    Convert currency and units

    Enter “weather” followed by a zipcode or city

    Looking for a PDF or Powerpoint on a specific topic? You can search by file type by searching “filetype:pPT”

    Enter “bacon number” followed by the name of the celebrity

    Want to find a webpage with certain words contained in the title (but not necessarily beside each other)? Type in allintitle: followed immediately by words or phrases.

    Have Google do math for you by simply searching the equation

    Sports: Search for the name of your team to see a schedule, game scores and more.

    Track packages: Type your tracking number for UPS, Fedex or USPS packages.
