You need to start off by doing keyword research then build your site. Then find unique content get a site map going Then backlink backlink backlink!
You can also use web 2.0 and direct them to your page.
But seriously no one comes in here and just ask how do I be one in google....it takes alot of time and alot of research and no one is just going to give it to you....most people on this fourm who are new in internet marking all have to put in work and read every thread

You can definetely get #1 in just about any niche. I recommend searching around and downloading some software and trying them out. One good way is to write articles and get them into ezine directories and blog commenting.
