Is there some tool to automatically detect content for internal links and suggest related posts to link to ? Such a tool will save a lot of time.

But if you don't have too many posts, it's best to do it manually. The plug-in isn't as smart as you would be able to do it, and a few times it fails to properly insert the links.
For less than 100 posts I do the internal linking manually.

Yoast seo and Rank math both have such feature to link content. Usually they don't do much if you can do manually that is the best way to create link silo's, because ai can't do much they can just let u remember the keyword.

Link whisper and inline related posts.

You can use Link Whisper. It is helpful and also easy to use. But remember manual efforts has decisive results!

Yes, sadly this is the feature that is missing in LinkWhisper. It is overall a very good plugin but I wish they could have auto linking feature (they have it but very risky to use it) with more control how posts are interlinked.
