Tools to analyze website, kinda like reverse engineering

Are there tools available that will let me analyze a website to see how and why it fare so well?

Like something which will give me backlinks as well as some kind of insight about keywords etc. so that I can learn why this particular site is doing so good. It's kind of like reverse engineering.

Ahrefs does this quite well, but it's expensive. You could use SimilarWeb to get a very crude look at how a competitor is doing.

I always use Ahrefs for this purpose. Its a beast of a tool. If you cant afford the regular fees then you can opt for Group buy services.

Wow ahrefs is very expensive. I guess it has some awesome features which no other competitor provides that's why?

Well, Ahrefs seems to have the biggest database and yeah it has a couple of unique features.

This has nothing to do with real Reverse Engineering. ;-)

Anyways, if European domains are involved, you could try sistrix.com for free (no credit card required, SMS verification needed).
