I am looking for a tool that can pull up recent news articles by search from a specific area. Just like Ahrefs Content Explorer. However it's too expensive for me, any alternatives?

The search function is very accurate when it comes to city/county searches.

Ahrefs content explorer I believe is inspired by Buzzsumo and this app called Social Animal is a cheaper alternative to Buzzsumo and seems to offer more features (https://socialanimal.com/buzzsumo-alternative.html), their current pricing starts at $49 USD/mo but luckily their running a lifetime deal at AppSumo for 69 USD. Definitely not my product and haven't bought the deal because I have Ahrefs already.

Group buys are kinda shitty because you'll likely get several timeouts and expired sessions, and quite possibly reach the 24-hour account limits on all functionalities because of the number of users simultaneously logged in or using it. But what you can probably do is try a quick Google search and try to contact them if what plan of the software are u getting access to in the group buy (e.g. Basic Plan, Agency plan, etc.) and some limits you cannot do on the specific app. If they can't answer or won't reply then they're probably not reliable and just there to take ur money. This was from my experience though.
