Definately take advantage of some of the offers to help you get set up and running on a VPS system. These guys are super-awesome in what they do and, even more fun, they rock at helping out a fellow JV or Donor.

IEM combined with Sendgrid is a good soltion. But, you'll need to get fast dedicated server with dedicated hard drive. Also for speed you'll need to get a multithread addon (expensive, but which I am attempting to null right now and help would be welcome).

I tried out almost everything, inboxing is the problem. At the end i had to build my own desktop application.
I use several thousands of free pops 3 accounts rotating with the use of proxies working on threads, manage around 80% inboxing.
I create daily new pop accounts by the hundreds, all fields are Heavily spinned.
If your project is long term you should be start looking for a developer.

Use high quality VPS for sending bulk emails or if you don't want to spend money, you will able to use aol mail for sending emails. aol support 500 emails a day without phone verification.

In mailing I agree all depends on the size of the project, I am experienced in 1+ millon a day volumes and I think PMTA is a very good option (not perfect) Interspire is probably the best easy cheap tool, but is not a definitive solution for a big project has many restrictions and if you need to mail really hard is impossible to be as flexible as you need to get into inbox in main domains, anyway is perfect for smaller and cleaner lists, I am open to help anyone that needs and advice.

You could try Interspire Email Marketer. I heard a lots of good basics of it. Lyris is also a good choice in this reason because of its advance professional features. Also you can download best bulk email software from email-unlimited.com
