    Hello,

Since some time I have a community where people use my toolbar. I can edit the toolbar and replace all the ads in the user's browser with my own ads shown.

For a fact I know that Adbrite and google adsense do not allow showing your own ads on other people's pages. It has to be 'your own static page' for security reasons. So I won't try it with them either as it is pretty easy to detect.

Anyone tried this idea personally? Or knows which other big ad companies exist that have no problems with this or are at least not that good in detecting it?

    Thanks in advance.

Try a display network. If you're able to get 1mill+ impressions daily you can also put it on an exchange like rubicon or openx.

Hmm that's another possibility but it looks like it does not pay well.

Currently about a 1000 people are using it in the browser. I think the toolbar business could work well, but only if you do something with adreplacement or ad hijacking.
People will not trust you or bid on your ads if it is not displayed on your own site.
