Copyscrape is the best tool to check duplicate contents and other than that you can check plagspotter as well which is free online tool.

if you have a wordpress based website, then easily use duplicated content checker
else, use google webmaster tool and check in HTML suggestion.... here you can see duplicate title and meta descriptions....

CopyScape is good but I wouldn't recommend putting duplicate or spun articles on your website, or for article submission because you site can be penalized.

Actually Copyscape is the best one. But I use plagtracker.com. It is a free tool too.

Can someone tell me if duplicate content on .edu sites falls into the same category of everything else. I bought a service (didn't spend much) but the .edu links all have the same content, and I'm not sure if this is okay for .edu sites for some reason. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts as I have posted this question on bhw elsewhere and no response yet. Thanks

Copyscape is the daddy, really. Yes, you have to pay for it but it is the most effective of all the duplicate content detectors on the web. In little to no time at all you will find it pays for itself. It doesn't even cost that much anyway and it's got countless testimonials so I wouldn't really look any further; it's definitely got my vote.

Big question here what do you do with the village idiot troll doing it on purpose? Have someone scraping posts and stealing images. Have forced them all the way to India and Russia to hide but really want this moron shutting down once and for all.
