Tool License and softwares

If a software needs an authentication to use, what happens if the creator of the software shut down their website? The software will not work anymore? Even if I purchased when the creator was still supporting the tool?

The Professional Trackback and Comment Submitter, I'm worried because I have bought those days, and the last update was on 2013, besides the domain will expire in two months.

Did you try to contact with the developer regarding this? If not then do it and ask if he's gonna support the tool for future updates or not. Also ask for unprotected version if he's no longer gonna support the tool.

Yes, i've tried a few days ago, without reply still now...

The domain in question will continue to be renewed. There has not been any update in a long time since there has been no reports of problems.
