Im not sure if this should be in Black hat tools forum, since I dont think its really a black hat tool, but here it goes anyways.

Once you start having more sites it becomes harder to keep track of every change you made, I have folders with documents with the changes I made and the date of them, and also an excel to keep track of backlinks, but I was wondering if there is any tool out there to keep track of these things rather than working on local files.

Do you know any?

If all you want is to keep track of all your linkbuilding efforts i think it´s way better to just hire a programmer and make him build you an app or script for this.

But i believe it would be a lot more expensive than just getting a premium license from existing software.

Other alternative is to dig deep on the web and find a crack version of any of those apps or hire a programmer to crack it for you.

I believe i saw an old and cracked version of the SEO Power Suite app. I haven´t tested it myself but you can look into that.

I use ahrefs and check my links. Get urself a group buy subscription

You can use Ahrefs to track your backlinks and more.

Basically what I would want is something where you manually enter the url that you want to track, what link (or links) you want to see is still "active". And a green/red icon to indicate if your existing backlink is still there or not found.
