I am in the personal development niche, I am doing follow/unfollow + engaging with people... But I think I attracted too many Nigerians, and I think they're not monetizable. How can I fix that and find US accounts to engage with?

Is your account Nigerian
Or Indian
Because I see you have more audience from the above geo
Or it's probably your content

My account is European... I did too much follow without noticing they're Indian or Nigerians, it looks like there are so many of them in my niche...

Fix your IP. Plus you can monetize Nigerian Audience for pin submits. Its little grey side of the CPA, but works good. But I am not sure, if those offers are still around.

I'm building personal brand, and they are not good for monetizing it, i think...

Can you explain more about this?
I also have Tier 3 audiences and I didn't find success monetizing them

See tier 3 traffic dont convert well for regular sell related offers. But they have good conversion rate in Mobile pin submits. If you have large volume, you can setup your own offers, you can find direct advertiser. For lower volume, just look in CPA networks for pin submits.

@therealyosif in that case, your ip is causing an issue, origin of account matters a lot on X. If possible setup a new account with clean USA IP and jump into trending searches from USA origin only. Donot engage with any other country searches or accounts.

Focus on posting at regular times, and use English language to better avoid misunderstandings, creating content that Americans prefer to watch.

I get what you’re trying to do, but the issue isn’t really where your followers are from—it’s how you’re targeting and positioning your content. Follow/unfollow tends to bring in a very mixed, low-intent audience, so you end up attracting whoever happens to be active rather than people who actually fit your ideal market.

If you want more US-based followers, you need to be more intentional. Focus on engaging with creators and communities that already have a strong US audience in your niche. Comment on their posts, join conversations, and create content that speaks directly to problems or goals that resonate with a US audience. Even small things like posting at US peak times, using culturally relevant examples, and writing in a tone that matches that audience can make a difference.

Also, instead of chasing volume, it helps to think about quality. A smaller audience that actually relates to your message and has buying intent is way more valuable than a large, random following. Over time, your engagement patterns and content will “train” the algorithm to show your profile to more of the right people, but it takes some consistency to shift that.

Shift your content and engagement to US creators and topics the audience will follow organically

Timeline changes rapidly to suit a users interest. Wherever a user engage the most, algorithm sends down similar tweet on the timeline, if he participates more on engineering topics, the whole timeline will be flooded with engineering contents. Those traffics from Nigeria mostly goes to accounts with interest on relationship, dating, and sexual contents, most of the times these are the kind of contents Nigeria twitter creates the most.
