too much link adding??

hi guys

i have a question regarding posting your web link to directories and link exhanges etc

is there a rule you should stick too? i.e. one link swap/add a day or something?

i have heard that google can penalize you if you throwing your link about too much?

Too much is not two.

Too much is thousands. So, just link as much as you like.

Just to give you an idea, It took 3000 high power links in 12 weeks to get me in trouble with G.

Dont go crazy when adding new links, try and make it as natural as possible. I promise the payoff in the end will be worth it.

Yeah, don't worry about penalization, that stuff is just temporary. Worry about how google will treat those links, if they're all coming from same places too fast they'll just ignore them and it's all worthless anyway. Don't just do directories, don't just swap links, for gods sake don't do some reciprocal link exchange or something, well, just read up on your SEO, add some links from web2.0 shit, give relevant comments on high ranking blogs (i.e. spam) and all that white hat crap
