I tried to search for it but couldn't really find the answer. It might be a stupid question but I'm still curious if anyone can help me out. I have an ecommerce site and just rewrote all my descriptions and added some other info, I wrote it all in the last two days and I have about 100 pages on the site and wrote about 100 new words for each average on a separate document. I plan to throw it all on tomorrow but if google checks me out and everything is changed and it has a ton of new content at once from last time is there some sort of penalty? It is all on existing pages already but I know that's why people usually spread out blog posts but I wasn't sure if I should spread it out over like a week or so or is there no problem of me doing it all at once.

Thanks.

You should not have any problems, the only time I saw problem in my experience is when I changed the title of the index page my ranks dropped slightly but then went back up after about a month

That is a low number. After you add 30k pages then you can have a small problem

Ya that was my thoughts, especially since none of it is duplicate. 30k pages I wouldn't really have to worry about considering I don't think I could write 3mil fresh words let alone put them all in before google updates a couple.. hundred times. I was just more or long thinking about the number in relation to the site and updating every single page.

I personally prefer adding all of my content gradually. Unless your adding 100 articles a day? Otherwise I'd just submit 2-3 a day.

I don't think there should be any issue regarding publishing new content on the website.

And just for information, Google does not penalize website for content... neither for adding huge content in one go nor for duplicate content.

There shouldn't be any penalty for a fair amount of content added at once. As someone here mentioned when you start adding 1-2-5-10k pages, that's when you may get in trouble.

I personally have never been penalized for adding mass content. Nowadays I just set content to be released on a schedule via wordpress.
