Too Many Pins?

Is there a such a thing as too many pins? I was thinking posting 30 pins a day on a single board, that is close to 1000 pins a month. After a year, there'll be 12000 pins on one single board. Is that not a bit excessive? I mean in the long term say 3 years, this board will have 36,000 pins. Is that too much?
