I have received following notification on linkedin: "You have too many outstanding invitations. View sent invitations."

I usually only accept the ones that seem legit after going through their profile oh and also make sure to accept the ones wherein they have sent a personal message

Hi, mate. You need to delete out some unaccepted sent invites. Go to the oldest messages, which are at least a few months old, then delete a few hundred that were not yet accepted, so you will not have this problem again.

:/ .. just checked the sent out invites - the list includes all the email addresses Linkedin has sent invites to (after I did connect one of my gmail accounts to it).

Delete the older unanswered invitations. If they have been not accepted so far, chances of getting them accepted are very rare.

LinkedIn allows only 2000 - 2500 connection requests in pending stage. Need to delete
