I have been browsing around BHW for over a year now. Every time I see another great method on here I am inspired to test it out, yet no matter how much I dedicate to these methods I find myself making only small amounts and unable to scale up.

It seems the key to "automated" or low maintenance earnings is setting up your own website/landing page, yet I have very limited experience with website creation/hosting/etc.

Can anyone recommend some resources to learn more about website creation and SEO? I understand the principles of SEO but don't know the true "tips" to drive traffic to my sites.

Because of my limited experience I am currently focusing on a Yahoo Answers account which I plan to use to promote amazon products. (An old method I know). Is there anything left in this niche or will I end up just wasting my time and getting my account banned?

Thank you for any advice you can give, and to those who have posted guides or journals thank you as well!

If you would like to get into SEO & web Design then i suggest getting a free domain or signing up to something like blogger and practising with ranking the website. It will give you experience ect, but to get in those markets you need to gain trust & good skills. Keep focused and continue to get involved discussing in topics on the forum and you will gain trust and with that it will hopefully bring sales.

Are there any physical guides to SEO out there? I think one of my issues is that I'm picking markets that are too competitive for me to rank in yet.

My other idea to try out is the Youtube + Content Lock method. If anyone has experience with this method I would love to chat.

There are many resources on SEO over here, to start out, did you ever read this thread? http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...ch-engine-optimization-practices-newbies.html

There are also threads talking about how to select niche under Black/white hat seo subforum. If you navigate through this site you will be able to find it.

As for Youtube + Content Lock you can check out threads by leith and mutatedllama. Both threads will give you insights on that.

Don't read to much and try it out. It doesn't cost you much..
I would suggest you start with a micro niche site. Choose a Keyword (you find everything you need to know in this forum), create a WordPress Blog and write some articles. Then get through the "Link Building" threads (there are a lot here..) and try it out..
After 30 days you will see that you failed and don't make a lot of money with your first site. But during this 30 days you will have learned a lot! Then try again.. and again.. and again.. and additionally to learning all the stuff needed (design, wordpress, seo, ...) you will also learn what you like to do and what you don't like..
Let's call it a "Trial" Period...

I joined bhw after you in may 2009 and learned a lot about seo and also making money and you are still in begining mode.what you did this many days?

I think you need to put your real concentration on learning how to develop
and build stable websites. First go to wordpress and start a blog. Learn how
to use the admin interface. Next go to hostgator ( Google it ) and start the
smallest hosting package. Hostgator tech support will spoon feed you into
uploading and starting your first wordpress Content Management System.

This is really a necessity.
Good Luck
