Too many links from feeder sites

One of my sites is a feeder ecom site that points to 8 different pages (product pages). Its basically an affiliate ecom site. However, the more I read, the more this doens't seem like a good idea.

Both are on dif hosting, however both are regestered under same name.

Should I definitely not be doing this? The feeder site does bring in decent traffic to my money site.
