Too many blogs but don't know what to do with it.

Well,
If you are looking to make money from a Blog I can try helping you out with the simply ways to do it:
1# CPC ads, the best one would be Google Adsense, if your blog don't have a steady user base, and only counts with visitors from social media and SEO, put the ads in strategical places, matching the color of your site, inside the posts, stuff like that.
2# CPA offers, this works best if you have a userbase, try searching for offers that are actually good and your users may enjoy, make posts for it and advertise.
3# Search the best affiliates for your niche, if you have a website that talks about movies, why not putting some affiliates that sell blu-ray, televisions, or even make a review of a bunch of stuff that your audience may enjoy?
4# Paid advertising, its sounds harder then it actually is, just look for the sites that are always showing at your adsense for example, if you get a good amount of money from it you can bet those guys are paying more, try contacting websites and show your statistics, show how your niche is a great way to they make more publicity
You can always ask for donations or do something related, but those are the basics....
And I know what you are probably thinking, "I know all of this"
Yeah, so whats the problem?
The problem is the traffic and focus, the hard part is how to get a solid user base and how to get traffic.... And that's where it gets interessanting... You can get easy money, make easy advertises and get alot of profit, but no user base would stick around, why? Because you flooded your sites with all the kind of affiliates possible to get every last drop.
Or you can choose the high road and try making good content and keep investing in your blog even when you have no return.
The first thing you have to ask yourself before trying to go on the high road is... Am I good enough? Many people want to be influential bloggers, have followers and stuff like that, but can you handle be always making new stuff? Feel an obligation to write? If you don't think you can work and stress for low or no pay for some time, take off your mind from blogging for users and start blogging for profit.
After you have the return and knowledge, you can go for the high road

Blogging for profit, eh? I have been thinking about that for the longest time but haven't had the heart to do that. It seems neverending, you know?

I don't get it, what's neverending about blogging for profit? According to your thread you are already doing that, just not happy with the results for those two blogs, right? The tips are always the same and they are pretty simple to express:
1. Get more traffic!
2. Optimize monetization!
If you do that, your profits will be constantly rising until you reach a level that makes you happy. You can work on 1. using SEO and/or social media and you can work on 2. using mastertr's advice. Form a plan and work on it.
