I've a site which starts ranking for its keywords at the moment. Literally all of my backlinks to this site are anchor text backlinks and so I'm a bit worried. Is there such thing like a Goolgle penalty for to many anchor backlinks in relation to non-anchor?

i believe you should make 20% of anchors like

name of business
THERE
here
go
now
site adress with www/without www/ with http

etc,,,
im a NATURALIST

The easiest way to do what Toples said is to actually buy some site-wide links with those anchors and things should equalize quite fast. :)

Yes, you can get stuck because of anchor-text over-optimization.

Then I think I have to build some "natural" links :) Site-wide links sounds good and probably kind of fast too.

Absolutely not. I build all of my links with exact anchor text (never varied) and rank very well.

Some prefer exact anchor text and others prefer a more natural approach. My friend tries to keep a ratio between anchor texts when link building.

She told me that she does:

40% Exact Keyword
30% Secondary Keyword
15% Tertiary Keyword
15% No Anchor/Misspelled Anchor/Unrelated

Use what you like and build on it. If you find pure anchor keywords are not working for you then throw in some secondary ones.

Like Larry David said: "Whatever works." :)
I have to find out myself.
