So I was wondering how many affiliate links you put on your website or article do avoid being penalized by Google. I currently don't put affiliate links (I just work with Amazon right now, besides AdSense) on every single article, but in some articles I have affiliate links in both text and pictures. How many is too many? Is there a rule?

Thanks!

Depends on many factors I guess.

for instance, if your blog posts are long form content, then you can use more than 1 link.

But, be careful how many times you use the same link in the same article. Do not overdo it by post 10 links to the same affiliate offer/website.

Also, to diversify your links (img and text) is a good thing.

I think there is not a single formula for how many links. I will suggest your use your common sense

It's not just Google, but think of your readers, many people visit for information not a link farm, people hate being sold to. Keep them to a minimum, otherwise they'll just go somewhere else

I tend to not put affiliate links in my helpful content. So don't focus on affiliate links in every article. Mix it up, you don't want to look like a robot, do you?

Help people with your information articles, then help/sell with your review-type posts, where you will put your affiliate links. Don't bother putting them in your information articles.

I am sure there is no definite answer. But google is not making amazon website rank if the website is new and contain amazon links. So dont place more than 1-2 links while doing seo

it should be maximum 1 on 400-500 words. if its long article of 2000 words, then you can keep 3-4

In my experience it doesn't really matter if you have a ton of content mixed in. I've had a top 10 product review before and all 10 had the buy links to amazon affiliate. The think still ranks of the first page of google even after a year of not touching it.

It doesn't matter. Write for human not for crawlers
