TONS of Orders on Fiverr HELP!

Interesting thought. My current gig title is "I will Create a KILLER 500 Word Article for Your Blog for $5" Can you suggest any improvements?

Yes but how long ago were those orders? If the orders came through any longer than 7 days ago, they will not show up on your gig analytics.

I agree. When outsourcing generally the minimum you can pay to get decent quality content is $1/100 words.
 
That is a very good point, but I fail to see how I can upsell my service, when Fiverr does not permit you to link customers to your own website/e-mails. :/ However, I will certainly look into rewriting already written articles, as I think this could save me a lot of time!

An interesting idea. However my gig is literally 2 days old, and I have already had 11 orders which have ranged from just one to 3 articles each. Also, I don't think that anyone has mentioned my service on the forums. I believe that Fiverr presents new gigs over high rating gigs, so people will see my gig first. I have had a look on Fiverr to see how long it would take to find my gig, and it was on the first page for "500 word article".

I am interested in the idea of WF, but I am still a little uncertain about the rules in play there. I guess I'll have to look into it! :)
 
Hmm I think that I may have misrepresented myself then. However, let's be honest I really want to succeed, but my idea of succeeding isn't spending hours each day writing articles. Plus, just yesterday it took me around 5 hours in order to write all of the content that was requested, and to me it seems like a smart idea to work out a way to make as much money as possible with as little effort as possible. My whole plan was to "Work Smart" not "Work Hard".

If you think spending half an hour to write an article is ludicrous then why did you start the fiverr gig in the first place?

If you can't be bothered writing the articles yourself your only option is to outsource the work to someone who writes for less than $5 per article. The issue then is quality and of course poor quality will not help your fiverr reputation.

If I were you I would put the effort in and do the work yourself. That will give you a reputation and a customer base. Once you have both of those you can start outsourcing and spend your time on quality control.

Fiverr lets you sell "upsells" So your gig could be $5 for a 250 word article and $10 for 500 etc.. and so on.

But like another commenter suggested, I am shocked that you are unwilling to work for money after people ordered the Gig YOU put up live. If you do 5 per day you are talking 2.5 hours IF it takes you 30 minutes to do the work.

Not sure what you expected to happen when you opened the writing gig but it looks like either your work ethic is lacking or your planning skills are lacking.. My suggestions instead of wasting so many words on BHW, sit down and write the articles pocket the money and buy DNS like many already suggested, which should cut back on your writing time.

If you dont have the $$$ save what you make from Fiverr and reinvest it here.

Sounds to me like you are lazy. You put up the gig and once you realized you had to do some work to fulfil the orders you didn't like it. You have a way of making the $50 per day you want and to get the computer you want, but you can't be bothered doing the work.

You said your plan was to 'Work Smart', not 'Work Hard'

Working hard would be getting on with fulfilling the orders you wanted.
Working smart would be to have thought it through first and either price per word accordingly, or have subcontractors already organised.

You are doing neither.

You're right with a lot of things here. I have had an article writing gig before, but that one never got more than around 2 orders per week, never mind 11 in just two days! I think half an hour to write each article is true in my case, but I cannot do that continuously for more than 1 hour. After an hour I then need a good break to get myself back into a working mood. The only reason I came to BHW was to find out if there was a quicker way to write the articles, as if I am going to continue getting a large amount of orders, I would like to optimise my time as much as possible.

I think that saying that my work ethic is lacking is possibly true, but of course you can understand why I'd be looking to reduce the time it takes me to write content right?

In that case what would you recommend that I provide instead? I am willing to write the content, (and I have done) but I just wanted a way of doing it quicker. I am interested in DNS but I'm not sure about how effective I will be at dictating articles.

In my opinion, working smart is reducing the amount of time it takes to do a task, but still getting it done to a good degree of quality.

Working hard on the other hand, is what you are recommending me to do, which is to just get on and spend half an hour writing for $3.92. :(

That's a ridiculous amount of work for such a small amount of money. Work smarter, not harder.
 
Your math is right. You want 50$ / day ? Do the math. If you work 10 hours / day, write an article between 30-60 minutes, that's an average of on article every 45 minutes. 600 / 45 * 4$ (fiverr) is 53$ / day. You can outsource some of the easier articles, you are spending less time on some of the articles you write yourself. What's wrong ?
 
350k impressions and 10 orders? That's totally crap conversion, like you were promoting one thing and selling something else. Anyway, dunno what's your gig but you can always hire someone to do your work for you, of course you can't be overselling much, in that case you would probably lose money -> that's not the goal of IM biz -> you're doing it wrong.

Take it easy on the guy, I don't think he is lazy. I think he just didn't plan it out well in the beginning. Many people find themselves in the same boat when they are new with fiverr. I was making $100+/day from fiverr but getting paid like $8/hour. So you can do the math to how much I was slaving.

Learn how to game fiverr rankings and do a different gig. :llama:
 
The first thought that came to mind, would be to out source, but I am not sure that would be cost affective in your situation.
