Split testing always trims it down to a lean, mean profit machine!
You could test black and white vs colored paper - lime green vs pastels, etc.
Get the best response you can for the effort then ramp it up!

The cheapest way I have managed to make flyers is to print out one A4 with 4 flyers in Black & White, and the photocopy it
Photocopies are obviously of lower quality, but are super cheap. Most places will cut it for you as well. Pay a hobo to hand that shiz out at the traffic lights
